  Chapter 1

  Blaze

Backing into the driveway, I turned off the truck and got out.

“It took you long enough,” Krystal said, standing in the threshold with her arms crossed over her chest.

“Man, yo ass lucky I came. What you got on?” I asked, laughing at the short, silky, lace pajama top she had on. Damn thing barely covered her ass. It was sexy, tho.

“Nigga, pajamas. I had this on when I called yo ugly ass, so don’t go thinking I put this on just for you. You ain’t that special,” she stated, walking up to me.

“I ain’t thought shit like that. You got makeup and shit on. Krystal, you tryna get sexy for me, huh?”

Rolling her eyes, she smacked her lips. “Fuck you, Blaze. Nigga, you ain’t shit.”

I licked my lips and Krystal shook her head as she stood on her tip toes to bring her face closer mine. Moving my head back, I slapped her on the ass before letting her go.

“I don’t know where the fuck yo mouth been,” I said, fuckin’ with her. “What you watching?” As I sat on the couch, Krystal walked up to me, muffing my head back as she sat in my lap. “Make me knock yo ass out.”

“I’m saying, don’t play me. My mouth haven’t been on nobody but your nasty ass.” She kissed my lips. Tangling a hand in her hair, I pulled her head back. “You wanna go to bed?” Krystal asked while grabbing the hem of my shirt, pulling it off. Before I could say anything, she got off my lap and was pulling at my hands. “Come on.”

Grabbing the remote, I turned off the TV and followed her into the room.

“Don’t get used to this. I shouldn’t have even brought my ass over here.”

“I’mma get used to it and you didn’t have to, but evidently you wanted to. So don’t complain now that you’re here.” Unzipping my jeans, Krystal pushed me down on the bed and climbed on top of me as she kissed her way up my chest.

I didn’t say shit back to her as Peaches popped into my mind.

Then again, how fuck’d up about shit was I really if I was there with Krystal? Couldn’t be too much, right? Maybe that damn break was what I needed, tho. I mean, I’d been falling off lately. Regardless of that, I needed her. I had to fix this.

A groan left my mouth as lips pressed against mine. The warmth around my dick had my eyes closing as Peaches continued to invade my sense of thought. I have to make shit right. I can’t lose her.

“Fuck!” I hissed out as I became lost into a Peaches haze.

“Mm, you feel so good.” She moaned into my ear. “I love you so much.”

My eyes shot opened at those words. I watched Krystal hips roll and grind as she rode me. I grabbed her hips and she looked at me.

  Fuck is she doing?

“Bae, what’s wrong?” Rolling us over, I pulled out of her. She whined and made a grab for me.

I pushed her back and slapped the shit outda her.

“Bitch, if you ever in yo life do some like that again, I’ll beat the fuck outda you.” Bitch crazy as hell. Fuck she’s thinkin’?

“Why, Blaze?” I wasn’t about to go through that shit with her again.

“I already told yo stupid ass I don’t wanna fuck with you like that. I don’t wanna fuck you. What don’t you understand about that? Oh. What? You thought because Peaches is pissed shit done changed between us and I’mma fuck you?” I asked her on some serious shit.

“What’s so bad about you having sex with me, Blaze? You can’t say you’re not attracted to me because we both know you are and that you like me. So why can’t we?” Grabbing my jeans, I pulled them on.

“Because I don’t wanna fuck you, that’s why. You keep asking me that shit and it’s pissing me the fuck off, boss. If you wanna fuck so bad go out and find you a nigga to fuck. I don’t give a fuck, yo, just leave me alone about that shit. We ain’t never fuckin’. If you tryna suck a dick then you can do that, but I ain’t fuckin’ you.” I snapped at her stupid ass.

“So you wouldn’t care if I found a nigga?” She asked and I looked at her ass with a blank expression.

“N’all, I ain’t gon’ give a fuck. Why would I, tho? You not my girl. You a grown ass woman, you can fuck who you wanna, baby girl. I wouldn’t care. But ain’t shit happening between us.”

She set up on her bed, getting loud. “I don’t believe you wouldn’t care. You not fooling me, Blaze. You’re lying to yoself about this because you want whatever you got with ol’ girl to work, which it’s obviously not. But if you feel like that then we can just be cool, I’ll stop sucking yo dick.”

Laughing, I shook my head at her dumbass. “I ain’t lying to myself about shit and just like I found you, I can easily get another bitch to suck my dick. If you stop, then oh fuckin’ well, you still gon’ be cool. You not the only mothafucka around that give good blow, so shid, that’s up to you. But I’m not about to keep going back and forth with yo ass, so I’m out.”

Letting out a sigh, Krystal ran a hand through her hair. “Look, I’m sorry, okay. Blaze—”

“Man fuck what you bout to say, keep that shit. I don’t give a fuck. But if you ever do some shit like this again, boss, you gon regret it. I’m not desperate fah no pussy, I got a bitch fah that. You just not that bitch and never going to be.” For the first time since fuckin with Krystal ass I felt dirty. Like I done something wrong. Damn, I shouldn’t have brought my ass over here.

  “Blaze—.” Krystal called, grabbing me.

I pushed her off me and she fell to the floor. I felt like stomping her ass. The desperate look in her eyes had me shaking my head before I left her room and out the house.

  Chapter 2

  Peaches

“Don’t stand me up, Peaches, I’mma be waiting, okay. The Café at six-thirty,” Sean said as we left class and he walked beside me down the hallway.

“I promised you I was coming. I think it’ll be a good thing to be socially active with you school folks because I hate doing this by myself.”

And it’ll be a total distraction from Blaze.

  Sean bumped his shoulder into
mine. “You mean so I can do the work and you can copy off me, right?”

“Now that you say it, that doesn’t sound too bad, not at all. I mean, you’re kind of smart, right?” Laughing, Sean pushed me.

“Oh, you got jokes. Remember this the next time you forget your book.”

Tucking a piece of hair behind my ear, I smiled at him. “It was only a joke, I know you’re smart. So you gon’ let me copy yo homework?” I asked jokingly as we walked out of the building.

“Most definitely if you keep smiling like that.” If possible, my smile grew wider which Sean returned with one of his own.

Shaking my head, I rolled my eyes and looked away from him. Sean was a cool dude. I was a sucker for a caramel skinned brotha with light brown eyes. God, they made me weak, but I didn’t take a break from Blaze just to start messing around with someone else. ”What’s up? You just went from smiley to depressed. Wanna talk about it?”

Smiling at him, I shrugged. “It’s nothing important, not even worth thinking about. What are you about to do? Go play chess?” I asked. He wasn’t a nerd or anything, it was just something stupid to say. I don’t even know why I said it, but it made him laugh.

“You got jokes. I don’t play chess, I’m more of a checkers man. You play?”

“Shut up, what are you about to do?” I asked again.

“Go to work at American Mufflers then meet you. But if you tryna see me sooner we can always meet for lunch.”

Laughing, I shook my head as we made it to my car.

“Here, let me get that.” He opened my car door and I raised a brow at him. “What?” he asked.

“Nothing, thanks. Can I have my book bag back or do you really plan on doing my homework?” Laughing, he took it off his shoulder and held it out to me. Once I made a grab for it, Sean pulled it back.

“Is that a no to lunch?” Reaching for my bag again, he moved it behind him. “Yes? No?” He asked, holding it out towards me again. I quickly snatched it from him and Sean smiled.

He is so sexy. Lord have mercy.

“Maybe. I go to lunch at one. If you can get your break at that time then call me,” I told him, shrugging while getting in the car.

I closed the door and Sean tapped on my window. I opened my door. “Yo boyfriend won’t mind, will he?” Sean asked and I rolled my eyes at that.

  “I don’t have a boyfriend,” I informed him.

Sean stood up straight and pointed in the direction behind my car, not at all trying to be discrete about it.

“You sure he knows that?” he asked.

Confused, I stuck my head out the door and looked back. Sure enough, like a fuckin’ stalker, there Blaze was standing next to his truck, looking my way. Groaning, I hit my head against the steering wheel.

“I don’t have time for this shit,” I mumbled as I started my car. It had been six days and I’d been avoiding Blaze like a plague. I even added him to the block list so I wouldn’t be tempted to answer his calls or texts. Looking in my mirror, I saw Blaze was now walking my way. “Sean, you should go.” I started saying as I got out of my car, already knowing it was gon’ be some bullshit.

“You straight? I don’t have to leave,” Sean said, which I thought was sweet of him. But I wasn’t worried about Blaze doing anything to me, it was him I was worried about.

“I’m cool. I’ll see you at lunch. Jimmy’s at one-fifteen. Okay?” Sean could really be a good friend, I could already see it. Blaze came closer and unlike before, Sean didn’t move. He stood right there, leaning against the hood of my car as Blaze reached us. I wanted to slap him so bad because I didn’t want to feel guilty if Blaze’s ass decided to go crazy.

“What’s up, Peach?” Blaze said, ignoring Sean altogether, which surprised me to say the least.

“Hey.” That was the first time I’d seen or talked to him since that night outside of his apartment. To be honest, I wasn’t ready to talk to him and I didn’t know when I’d be ready to.

“Damn, I don’t get a hug? Just a dry ass ‘hey’. We there now?” he asked.

Letting out a breath, I ran a hand through my hair and glanced from Sean back to Blaze. “B, what do you want?” It sounded just as dry as the ‘hey’ I gave.

“Why the fuck dude just standing here? How the fuck I’m supposed to talk to you with this bitch ass nigga down my throat?” Blaze finally snapped, mugging Sean.

“Blaze, don’t, okay. Please.” He couldn’t start that shit now. And Sean wasn’t making it any better standing there. Blaze suddenly grabbed my forearm and started pulling me toward his truck.

“Aye—” Sean said, grabbing Blaze’s shoulder. Letting me go, Blaze turned around and punched Sean, making him stumble back. Before Blaze could swing again, Sean got his balance and rocked the shit outda Blaze’s ass. To say I was stunned would’ve been an understatement for the simple fact I’d never seen anybody hit Blaze back besides King, but he didn’t count. Dropping his book bag, Sean pulled his pants up.

Oh, hell n’all. I know that damn stance. I’ve seen it every time Blaze and King squared up.

Spitting, Blaze nodded his head as he pushed me out the way. Sean swung and Blaze dodged it before coming back up fast, hitting him with his left then right fist. Once those damn fists started moving, Blaze’s ass didn’t stop, but Sean wasn’t no bitch. He was getting with Blaze, going punch for punch until he lost his footing and fell back on my car. Oh, hell no. Grabbing the back of Blaze’s shirt, I yanked him as hard as I could and he quickly turned on me with his fist raised.

“Wait!” I yelled, ducking back. He was not about to knock my ass out. Realizing it was me, Blaze pushed me back, almost making me fall as he turned back to Sean. “Blaze, stop, please!” Yanking on him again, I quickly got between them. “Stop, God! Sean, please just go, damn.”

“Move, Peaches. Little dude wanna buck, bring yo ass on, little nigga,” Blaze said, smiling hard as hell. You could literally see the excitement bouncing around in his eyes as well as off of him. Blaze was excited to fight Sean. Licking his lips, Blaze spit the blood from his mouth. “Peaches, get yo ass out the way before I knock you the fuck out.”

“Yo ass can try it. Peaches, watch out,” Sean said, again stunning me because he was talking shit, not at all sounding like the nice, sweet Sean I came to know. He actually wanted to fight Blaze.

“No, you can’t do this. Blaze, just go. Please.” Looking away from Sean, Blaze stared at me, seeming a little disbelieving.

“What the fuck you mean go? You want me to leave?” He asked and I nodded.

  “Yes, please. Just go—”

“Why, because of this bitch ass nigga right here?” he asked.

“No, because of you! God, Blaze. You always gotda start some shit when you have no right to. Why are you even here?” I was pissed. I really didn’t want to be around him at all for the fact that his hold on me was too deep. I was trying to get over it because we may not ever be together again, which I was just realizing.

His expression was blank at first before the meanest mug I’d ever seen graced his face. Sean’s arms went to my middle and he pulled me closer into his chest. Why would he do that? Blaze, seeing that, just nodded before looking back at me.

“Fuck you, Peaches.” With that being said, his foot kicked hard into my car window, shattering the glass. My lips parted as I stood there in shock.

“Oh, my God!” Now he knew I didn’t play about my car, that was my baby and he’d just broken my window. I looked back toward Blaze and he was already walking to his truck. Oh, hell no! “Let me go, Sean.” Jerking from him, I quickly jumped in my car, sitting on glass and all. Throwing the car in reverse, I pulled back, making a quick turn and blocked Blaze in.

Stopping at the driver door, Blaze looked at me. “Get the fuck out the way before I tear that bitch up,” he snapped at me.

I reached under my seat and grabbed my .9mm with the silencer. Then pointed it out the broken window.

Shooting holes all in his windshield,
I pulled off only to stop and pull back, shooting out both his front and back tires on the driver side.

“You stupid bitch!” Blaze yelled as I floored it off campus. I only lived about three blocks from the school so it took me no time to get there.

  Chapter 3

  Peaches

I was already hitting the garage button as I pulled on my street. Once parked inside, I let the door down and turned off my car. When I got out, I was surprised I hadn’t cut myself by sitting on that damn glass.

“Stupid ass nigga, I swear! Ugh! What the fuck is wrong with him? Stupid bitch!” I snapped as I looked at my broken window. Unlocking the door, I walked into my house, slamming the door as my phone started ringing.

“Hello?” I asked with an attitude.

“When I see yo stupid ass I’m fuckin’ you up. I put that on everything. Is you fuckin’ stupid?” Blaze yelled into the phone.

“No, are you fuckin’ stupid? You’re an ignorant ass nigga!”

“Fuck you! Boss, you fixing my shit—”

“I ain’t fixing shit. You shouldn’t have broken my fuckin’ window. All you had to do was walk yo triflin’ ass away, but no, you had to fuck with my car. No, you fixing my window, I’ll send yo ass the bill when I get it. I can’t believe you broke my window. Why would you do that?” My feelings were so hurt behind that. My car was my baby and he knew that.

“Why the hell you ain’t been answering the phone? Why I can’t catch up with yo ass no mo? And why the fuck you all smiling in that nigga face? Huh? How the fuck you gon’ play me fah that nigga?” He snapped, yelling into the phone.

“I didn’t answer my phone because I didn’t wanna talk to you, Blaze! We’re taking a break to give each other time to figure out what we want. We aren’t together, so if I wanna smile in somebody’s face then so fucking what! It’s not like I was letting the nigga eat my pussy while I was with you—”
